The Golden Temple and Himalayas

Travel by Toy Train to Shimla; queen of Himalaya, once the summer capital of British India. From here travel to Dharamshala; called the little Lhasa, visit its Beautiful Buddhist monasteries. Next stop at Amritsar; holiest city for Sikhism. Visit the most famous Golden Temple & retreat ceremony at Indo Pak border.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive at Delhi international airport, meet – great with our office representative & transfer to your pre booked hotel. Once you will reach your hotel our representative will handover you the travel documents and explain your entire plan in details.

Day 02: In Delhi
Morning after breakfast sightseeing tour of Old Delhi visiting Jama Masjid, rickshaw ride in Chandni Chock (old Bazaar), photo opportunity at Red Fort & visit of Raj Ghat. Afternoon sightseeing tour of New Delhi drive pass Lutyens Delhi (Presidential House, Parliament and India Gate) also visit Qutub-Minar.

Day 03: Delhi to Chandigarh (surface)
Morning after breakfast drive by surface to Chandigarh. Afternoon visit of Rose Garden, Rock Garden & Sukhna Lake.

Day 04: Chandigarh to Kalka (surface) Shimla (Toy Train)
Morning after breakfast drive by surface to Kalka to board your Toy Train ride to Shimla.

Day 05: In Shimla
Morning after breakfast visit Vice Regal Lodge, Christ Church, The Ridge. Evening walk around mall road.

Day 06: In Shimla
Morning after breakfast excursion to Kufri & Naldera.

Day 07: Shimla to Dharamshala (surface)
Morning after breakfast drive by surface to Dharamshala. En-route visit of Gyuto Monastery.

Day 08: In Dharamshala
Morning after breakfast Namgyal Monastery next to it visit Dalai Lama Temple. From there go to visit St. John Church, Bhagsu Naag Temple & Waterfalls. Evening enjoy walking near Dal Lake.

Day 09: In Dharamshala
Morning after breakfast visit the Tea Factory. Later visit Kangra Fort & Kangra Museum. Evening walk on mall road to do the shopping.

Day 10: Dharamshala to Amritsar (surface)
Morning after breakfast drive by surface to Dharamshala. Enjoy the scenic beauty both side the road.

Day 11: In Amritsar
Morning after breakfast visit the Golden Temple, Jalianwala Bagh. Later in the afternoon will visit the India Pakistan border to enjoy the retreat ceremony.

Day 12: Amritsar to Delhi (Train) Departure
Early morning after breakfast board your train to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, strait transfer to Delhi international airport to board your flight to fly back home.
